Policies & Code of Conduct

Parent Viewing;

  • Folkestone - none due to space in the hall

  • Stour Centre - viewing gallery but from September it is likely that the curtain will be crossed due to the reduction of hall size

  • Spires Academy - 1 adult per gymnast - no siblings. This is due to emergency evacuation procedures in place

Adult code of conduct

  • By booking onto this course you understand that the payment secures your place for the whole course. If you do not attend for any reason we are unable to offer refunds or replacement sessions

  • Payment will be made by the requested date and understand that non payment will result in my place being cancelled

  • I will let coaches know about any medical conditions and injuries prior to the session starting

  • Ensure my gymnast is appropriately dressed for gymnastics and know that my gymnast will be refused entry without the proper attire with no crop tops or bare backed leotards

  • Ensure that my gymnasts' hair is tied back above the neck and all jewellery is removed 

  • I understand that if my gymnast arrives more than 10 minutes late they will not be able to train due to safety reasons

  • Bring a drink to every session to ensure hydration is maintained throughout the session

  • I will ensure that my gymnast knows that good listening & to be respectful to other gymnasts and Coaches

  • Explain to my gymnast to respect other gymnast spacial boundaries and the no touch rule

  • I understand that any adult that drops or picks up, is polite and follows all of the rules of each of our venues

  • I agree that any rude, aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated will result in membership cancellation

  • I understand that my gymnast will need to be registered with British Gymnastics.

  • Without British Gymnastics Membership, I understand that my gymnast will not be insured to take part and will not be able to train.

  • I understand that any breached rules will result in my gymnast losing their place at the Club

Gymnast Code of conduct

  • I will ensure that I will arrive in time for my session wearing the correct attire

  • My hair will be tied back above the neck and I will not wear any jewellery

  • Bring a drink

  • Be respectful & polite to other gymnasts, coaches & volunteers

  • I will listen carefully and follow instructions given to me

  • I will respect the other gymnasts' spacial boundaries and respect the no touch rule in place

  • I understand that if I do not follow these rules I will not able to train at the Club

As a Club we are governed by British Gymnastics and we follow their policies and procedures. If you feel that we have not dealt with your concerns you are welcome to contact them. However, they will not interfere with the normal day to day running of the Club ie you dont like that your gymnast wasn't picked for squad or lost their place due to not booking in time
